July came and July left, and I almost blinked and missed it. Can you guys believe half of 2016 is over? I honestly can’t. Anyhoo, if flying time isn’t reason enough to shop – I honestly don’t know what is. 😉 Here’s some of my favourite new things from last month!

So usually, my go to shower gel is Palmolive Thermal Spa. I’ve been using it for years and don’t bother switching things up in this department unless someone gifts me fancy shower gels from abroad (yes, this is a hint for future gifts). Anyway, this time I ran out of it and just bought this Nivea shower gel because Palmolive wasn’t available – and I’m happy to say I’m pleasantly surprised. Not only does it smell amazing (floral, but more of a clean scent than a sweet one) it also lathers well. The little beads in it make it feel like a mild scrub and the consistency is gel-like but not too thick. At Rs 165 (around), I thought it was totally value for money, giving your bath a totally luxurious feel. Also, look how pretty!

I have a confession to make; every single year I end up buying a new umbrella. It’s kind of just become my monsoon ritual. I usually go in for the tall (long?!) ones because I believe they lend a lot of character to one’s personality. Side note: they are frickin’ amazing to navigate station crowds with. But my last two umbrellas haven’t lasted me and this my Sindhi self cannot digest. This time, I listened to my parents and bought a Sun Umbrella (apparently that is THE brand for sturdy umbrellas). I got excited because I found one in the Real Girl colours. Besides, you can’t go wrong with pink and polka dots, no? I have to say though, I’m enjoying having a small sized umbrella this year. It’s so easy to dump into my (very large and very messy) tote and I don’t have to lug it around.

OMG guys, I’m so hooked to liquid lipsticks/lip creams. I had been looking for the perfect brown (a very 90s colour) for a while now and I found it in the new Chambor range of liquid lipsticks. It goes on quite wet, but dries instantly. The colour payoff is awesome and it doesn’t dry your lips out. I’m one of those people who couldn’t be bothered to keep their lip colour intact and end up eating it almost instantly. So I can honestly tell you that this one has an amazing staying power. The fact that this one survives the Real Girl Lip Test (patent pending) is totally something! (Psst, I’m wearing it in the photo above!)
4. Funky Water Bottle
I am a child who sees shiny, quirky things and HAS to have them! I was out shopping with my munchkin nephew (he’s 4) and came across this flat bottle and just had to buy it. I love filling up my home with quirky things (which reminds me my home decor post is pending). But don’t you think this is super cool? No? Okay, it’s just me then. #noproblem #dontjudgeme
5. YAAAASSSSSSS Phone Case
Okay, tell me this phone cover isn’t all kinds of perfect! I discovered this cool new online store called Uptown 18 and I’m quite excited about it. Found the perfect clothes for my beloved Nexus 5 and I’m happy with the overall quality. They took like 2 weeks to deliver the product so just be ready for that but otherwise they have t-shirts, stationary, bags etc in some rather cool prints. I have a feeling Imma be pickin’ up more stuff from there soon! Till then, can I get a YAAAASSSSS?!
That’s it for now my loves. Here’s to a new month and new finds. Hope your August is awesome! 🙂
